Backing the Future of Live Events: Our Investment in Celebratix

Feb 25, 2026

Ticket fraud, opaque resale markets, and event organizers flying blind without their own customer data: the live events industry has been ripe for disruption. When we met the team behind Celebratix, we knew we'd found exactly the right people to do it.

We're thrilled to announce our investment in Celebratix, the Amsterdam-based startup building the next generation of event ticketing — powered by blockchain, built for organizers, and designed to make live experiences better for everyone.

Why Celebratix?

The problems with ticketing aren't new. Fraud is rampant, resale markets are exploitative, and event organizers routinely lose access to the very fan data that could transform their businesses. Platforms like Celebratix don't just patch over these issues — they rethink the entire system from the ground up.

Celebratix has built a complete ticketing suite covering primary sales, secondary markets, guest lists, loyalty programs, and real-time data insights — all powered by the speed and security of the Solana blockchain. Crucially, they've done this without making the experience feel "crypto." For attendees, buying a ticket is as simple and seamless as ever. The technology works behind the scenes, not in the way.

For organizers, the impact is transformative. Instead of handing over their audiences to third-party platforms, they get direct access to customer insights before, during, and after their events. That means smarter retargeting, deeper fan relationships, and tools to maximize revenue — all from one intuitive dashboard.

A Team Born From the Problem

What really sealed our conviction was the founding story. Hans Jochem Dijk, Frank Rombaut, and Guy Rombaut didn't stumble into ticketing — they lived it. Having personally organized large-scale festivals with over 40,000 attendees, they experienced first-hand the pain of ticket fraud and the frustration of losing valuable attendee data. They built Celebratix because they needed it to exist.

That founder-market fit, combined with rapid early traction, speaks volumes. Since launching, Celebratix has partnered with major venues in Amsterdam, Hamburg, and Berlin — including beloved names like Chicago Social Club and Jimmy Woo — and entered the German market through a partnership with MixMag. They were also voted Best Newcomer in the Dutch Blockchain Ecosystem in 2023, a recognition that reflects just how quickly they've made their mark.

Our Excitement for What's Ahead

Live events are one of the most emotionally resonant experiences humans share. The industry is enormous, and it's been underserved by technology for far too long. We believe blockchain-backed ticketing isn't a gimmick — it's the infrastructure the industry has been missing.

Celebratix is already proving that out. With expansion into Sweden and the United Kingdom on the horizon, and a product that's winning over organizers city by city, we're incredibly excited to be joining them on this journey.

To Hans Jochem, Frank, Guy, and the whole Celebratix team: welcome to the Airbridge family.
